Meet the Ancestors Evening Lecture

Sharon Clough, Human bone specialist from Cotswold Archaeology, will present a lecture exploring the importance of analysing human bone from archaeological excavations. Her talk will include some of the recent excavations across the Cotswold District and examples from further afield. Human remains are a valuable archaeological resource and can tell us about the life and death of people from the past.

Sharon has been an osteoarchaeologist in commercial archaeology for 19 years and currently works for Cotswold Archaeology as their human bone specialist. She has worked on excavations across the country, including many in the Cotswold area. Publications include the Late Roman assemblage from Lankhills Winchester and Roman and Saxon cemetery at Horcott Quarry, Fairford.
